Originally released in 2002,”Don't Make Me Laugh" received radio airplay in Texas, across the United States, and in 17 foreign countries. In it’s first month of release, “Don’t Make Me Laugh” tracked in at #12 on the Freeform American Roots (FAR) Chart. The record occupied the Americana Music Chart for several months and the top 30 of the Roots Country Chart for 13 consecutive weeks. The CD contains original country and western swing tunes; classics by George Jones, Leon Payne, and Mel Tillis; songs by his friends Blaze Foley and Rich Minus; and one by John Prine. Reviewer Jud Block (Rockzillaword) described the record as “Classic Texas honky-tonk and western swing.
